The high school football season is well underway, and now it’s time for High Desert fans to make their picks.
More than 50 players have been selected for the 2026 Daily Press Fan’s Choice Football Player of the Year ballot.
We’re two weeks into the 2026 season, giving us an early look at some of the top players from across the High Desert so far. Now, we want to hear from you: Which players do you think will be the best the rest of the season?
We’ve divided the ballot into three polls.
The Mojave River League poll features four players from each of its five teams: Apple Valley, Hesperia, Oak Hills, Serrano and Sultana.
The Desert Sky League poll also features four players from each of its five teams: Adelanto, Barstow, Granite Hills, Silverado and Victor Valley.
Our third poll features 13 players from five programs. It includes the High Desert’s three 8-man football teams from the Agape League, along with Riverside Prep and Silver Valley, two 11-man programs that compete in separate leagues.
Fans can vote as often as they’d like in all three polls. Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.
The winner of each poll will be invited to the Daily Press for a sit-down Q&A video interview.
