Song Yadong has entered the top 5 after a thrilling upset in his home country.
At UFC Fight Night 286, Song came through as a big underdog against Umar Nurmagomedov, finishing the fight by knockout in the second round. Coming into the fight, Song was ranked No. 7 in the bantamweight division, and now climbs to No. 4, taking Nurmagomedov's previous spot.
In the co-feature, Yan Xiaonan, who came in at No. 5 in the women's strawweight division, was finished in the first round by previously unranked Denise Gomes. With the big finish, Gomes now sits at No. 7, while Xiaonan falls to No. 8.
