Among the many interesting narratives in the upcoming 2026 NFL season are superstar pass rushers Micah Parsons of the Green Bay Packers and Myles Garrett of the Los Angeles Rams.
Parsons is working his way back to top form after suffering a devastating injury near the end of the 2025 campaign — his first with Green Bay. Garrett, on the other hand, is starting a new chapter in his NFL career after the Cleveland Browns shockingly traded him to the Rams.
Parsons is going to need some more time before he can suit up and play for the Packers, as he’s not expected to be ready to see action at least in the first few weeks of the 2026 season. He has been placed on the Reserve/PUP list, which makes him ineligible to suit up in Green Bay’s first four games of the season.
Over that span, the Packers will face the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Parsons will miss them all.
But that outlook hasn’t stopped him from doing intense workouts in the offseason. His goal is to be a much better player than he was before sustaining a torn ACL injury.

Parsons later reacted to that post from the NFL.
“I love this shi# ! I only want to be around people that bring the best out of me!!” the five-time Pro Bowler wrote in a post on X.
In any case, Green Bay fans likely loved seeing Parsons moving like that already in the gym several months after the injury and the surgery to repair his knee.
In his first season in Titletown, Parsons had 12.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 14 games played.
