Jason Kidd reveals the one thing that makes LeBron James lose his composure.

LeBron James has been to the NBA Finals 10 times during his career, but he has only managed to lift the Larry O’Brien trophy on four occasions.

Speaking of James’ six NBA Finals defeats, losing to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011 is arguably the biggest stain in his career.

So much so that even years later, the mention of that defeat gets the King riled up, according to Jason Kidd.

Before working together as coach and player on the Los Angeles Lakers, Kidd and James faced off against each other during the 2011 NBA Finals.

Kidd’s Mavericks ended up on the winning side despite the Heat taking a 2-1 lead in the series. But did Kidd ever tease James about arguably the worst NBA Finals performance of his career?

“No, I would never bring that up. Only if I had to, you know, get him upset,” Kidd said, per All-StarMagazine. “He would bring it up. I would let him bring it up.”

Kidd further revealed that James believes the Mavs ‘got lucky’ and the NBA legend didn’t disagree with that narrative.

Either way, it seems like losing the 2011 NBA Finals still hurts James, despite winning four titles since that catastrophic collapse.
