Athlete of the Week: Cole Birkhead, Memorial Mavericks

Our Athlete of the Week delivered a record-setting performance Friday night.

Memorial’s Cole Birkhead set a school record with seven touchdown passes in the Mavericks’ 54-34 win over Paschall on Thursday night.

Birkhead made history before halftime, throwing six touchdown passes in the first two quarters. He finished the night with 381 yards passing, completing 19 of 32 attempts.
