Francesco Totti is keeping an eye on Roma and, without giving too much away, isn’t ruling them out of the Scudetto race.
The former Giallorossi captain is currently in Florence, where tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2nd, he will participate in the match between Fiorentina All Stars and Operazione Nostalgia Legends at the Franchi stadium, organized to mark the Viola’s centenary celebrations.
Speaking to Sky Sport, Totti discussed the start of Gian Piero Gasperini’s team and its chances of staying close to the big teams until the end: “As a fan, I can’t say, but they’ve started off on the right foot.”
“We’re just getting started; the transfer window has closed, and now the real championship begins. I hope Roma can have a great run with Inter, Napoli, and Juve; these are the teams I believe can fight until the end. Given the way they’ve started, there’s a chance, but we’re not saying anything.”
