The biggest Arizona Cardinals injury news is centered on rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, who suffered a high ankle sprain in the team's preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Aug. 13. Head coach Mike LaFleur said that Love "is progressing" but he has not been on the field practicing in the open parts of practice this week.

NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo gave an update on Good Morning Football.

"Is he trending toward a Week 1 return? Maybe," he said. A source he spoke with said the chances Love plays in the season opener on Sept. 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers is "about 50-50."

"Nobody really knows right now," he said. "They need to see how he progresses over the next week."

The Cardinals won't release any official injury report until next Wednesday in Week 1.

But as of today, Love's availability for the season opener is definitely uncertain.
