According to Heavy Sports’ Sean Deveney, Porter is looking to secure a new contract with the Nets. However, the starting forward is demanding a significant amount of money from the franchise. The 2023 NBA champion wants a contract where he could potentially earn at least $40 million per year.

After seeing the deal that Michael Porter wanted from the Nets, NBA fans brutally roasted the forward.

Michael Porter Jr. Comments About TankingTanking is one of the biggest issues in the NBA, and Michael Porter Jr. is not happy about it. The Nets star shared his candid opinions about the issue during a guest appearance on “The Emily Austin Show” in March.
“They’ve got to do something about this tanking situation,” Porter Jr. said. “I don’t like how teams are deliberately trying to tank to get a good draft pick. I just think that throwing full NBA seasons down the drain is not the way to go.”
Unfortunately for Porter, the Nets have tanked over the past few seasons. The organization is focused on rebuilding the roster for the future, and they are not expected to be competitive in the near future.
