10 rookies who made the Ravens’ initial 2026 roster

The Baltimore Ravens placed 10 rookies on their initial active roster, with eight members of the 2026 draft class joined by undrafted free agents Joe Fagnano and Ethan Burke. Baltimore selected 11 players during the 2026 NFL draft. Seventh-round picks Rayshaun Benny and Evan Beerntsen were waived, while fifth-round running back Adam Randall was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return.

The active rookie group includes potential starters, rotational players, developmental prospects and two undrafted players who forced their way onto the team with productive preseason performances.

The No. 14 overall pick is projected to start at right guard. Ioane gives Baltimore a powerful interior blocker who can become a foundational piece of the offensive line alongside Ronnie Stanley, Roger Rosengarten and John Simpson.

Baltimore selected Young with the No. 45 pick in the second round. He joins a deep edge group featuring Trey Hendrickson, Tavius Robinson, Mike Green and fellow rookie Ethan Burke.

The third-round pick emerged as a leading candidate for the No. 3 receiver role during training camp. Lane’s 6-foot-4 frame gives Lamar Jackson a bigger target alongside Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

Sarratt, a fourth-round pick from Indiana, also secured a spot in Baltimore’s six-player receiving corps. His size, physicality and red-zone production offer a different skill set from the team’s smaller, more explosive receivers.

The fourth-round selection joins Mark Andrews, Durham Smythe and Josh Cuevas at tight end. Hibner has the receiving ability to develop into a complementary target while contributing on special teams.

Rivers earned a roster position in one of Baltimore’s deepest position groups. The fifth-round pick can contribute in the slot, on special teams and as developmental depth behind Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins and Chidobe Awuzie.

The fifth-round pick made the team after displaying his versatility throughout the preseason. Cuevas recorded three catches for 46 yards against Minnesota and showed the ability to contribute as both a receiver and blocker.

Eckley won the punting job and will also serve as the primary holder. The sixth-round pick averaged 48.5 yards per punt during his final season at Michigan State and was named the Big Ten Punter of the Year.

Fagnano was one of the biggest stories of Baltimore’s preseason. The undrafted quarterback completed 56 of 75 passes for 509 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

His performance convinced the Ravens to keep three quarterbacks on their initial roster for the first time since 2023. Fagnano will develop behind Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.

Burke continued Baltimore’s long tradition of finding undrafted contributors. The 6-foot-6 outside linebacker recorded six tackles, two forced fumbles, two passes defensed, two quarterback hits and a sack during the preseason.

His performance helped him earn a roster spot over Adisa Isaac, a 2024 third-round pick who was waived during the final reduction.

Randall did not make the active roster because Baltimore placed him on injured reserve with a designation to return. The fifth-round running back remains part of the Ravens’ long-term plans and will be eligible for activation after missing at least four games.

Overall, eight of Baltimore’s 11 draft choices secured active-roster positions. Adding Fagnano and Burke gives the Ravens 10 active rookies, with Randall potentially becoming the 11th rookie contributor once he is activated.
