23-year-old forward now wanted for Serie A deal

Liverpool are making big changes to their attack.

Bradley Barcola is now primed to become the summer’s headline arrival. The 23-year-old Frenchman is coming in from Paris Saint-Germain for a sizeable transfer fee that could reach £120m.

The two-time Champions League winner is joining Victor Munoz in a new-look Reds’ attack under Andoni Iraola. Spain’s FIFA World Cup winner was recruited for around £34m after Richard Hughes triggered his Osasuna release clause.

But Hughes and head coach Andoni Iraola are not done there.

Even more wingers are coming to Liverpool

More signings are planned before the window closes on Tuesday - including Ismaila Sarr from Crystal Palace and even Yankuba Minteh or Ibrahim Mbaye.

To accommodate these new arrivals in attack and on the wage bill certain departures will be required. The biggest sacrifice is set to be Cody Gakpo - who is wanted for a £72m deal by Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi.

Federico Chiesa is also a man in demand - with Serie A teams like Atalanta and Roma thought to be keen on bringing him home.

Harvey Ellliott is surplus to requirements

Another player now attracting attention in Italy is Harvey Elliott - who again looks surplus to requirements.

Elliott, 23, failed to grasp the preseason opportunity offered to him by the Basque tactico and didn’t make it into the squad for the opening Premier League game of the season.

It would be natural to assume that Liverpool will consider offers for the playmaker - who only has a few months left to run on his contract.

And according to a report in the Daily Mail the England under-21 legend is being eyed up by Napoli and Lazio.

Napoli and Lazio want deal for Harvey Elliott

“Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott is attracting interest from Italian sides Napoli and Lazio,” the report reads.

That said Liverpool have not yet received any bids for Elliott - who joined the club as a teenager back in 2019.

“Though interest is expected over the next four days, Liverpool have still to receive a formal enquiry for Elliott,” the report states.

Expect movement for Elliott over the next few days as the window ticks down. There is not going to be any space for him in Iraola’s first-team squad this season and the outlook is going to get worse once more winger signings are confirmed.
