Daytona International Speedway chose someone who knows a little something about clutch moments to serve as the grand marshal for NASCAR's regular-season finale.
On Aug. 28, it announced longtime NBA player Danny Green for the role.
He won three championships as a 3-point sniper with the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers. The shooting guard is one of just four players to claim titles with three different franchises.
Overall, Green suited up for six teams across a 15-year career through the 2023-24 season. He averaged 8.7 points per game.
