The East Palestine Police Department has released body camera footage of the moment its officers arrested San Francisco 49ers principal owner Jed York on Sunday in an online prostitution sting operation.
The California Post published a 3-minute, 33-second clip of the interaction that starts with police officers approaching York's vehicle asking to see his hands. Both officers ask the 46-year-old what he's doing in that area, to which York replies, "Just driving." As the executive replied, one officer began to handcuff his hands behind his back. York denied that he was "meeting anybody," per the officer's questions.
After an officer begins to lead York to his squad car, the video cuts to a clip of the officer counting the money in York's wallet and saying the arrest was "easy." Another officer comments on the amount of money York had in his wallet, while the other calls York "a real estate guy." The officer whose camera was recording later says, "Wow. It's crazy the people that do this. They could do whatever they want. Like, they could do other things, they could go other ways. It's wild."

As for what allegedly preceded York's arrest, a police affidavit said the Niners owner texted a woman he believed was a sex worker advertising online. The advertisement was actually posted by undercover officers from a human trafficking task force. York was initially charged with engaging in prostitution, according to court records, but that was later amended to disorderly conduct and possession of criminal tools. The Niners' principal owner pleaded no contest to the charges, was ordered to pay $1,150 in fines and sentenced to two days in jail (one for each charge, which were served concurrently).
In response to the arrest, the 49ers said in a statement, "As this is a legal matter, which has been resolved, we will not be providing any further comment at this time." York, who has been in Ohio throughout the summer, was absent from Wednesday's NFL owners meeting, with team CEO Al Guido appearing in his place.
