Alabama basketball will meet its nemesis in exhibition play to gear up for the 2026-27 season.
Per On3's Justin Hokanson, Auburn and the Crimson Tide will meet on Thursday, Oct. 22 for a preseason game in Birmingham at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex.
Hokanson reported that sources indicated a sell-out at the BJCC would result in Alabama and Auburn earning "well into the six figures, providing a boost for roster-building efforts."
Both teams are also set to compete in the Ballin' at Boutwell Exhibition the week prior, but will not face each other.
The Crimson Tide has won its last three matchups against the Tigers, who fell 96-84 and 96-92 against Alabama last season.
Alabama and Auburn will play twice during the 2026-27 regular season, once in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 30, 2027 and in Auburn on March 6.
