Atlanta Falcons roster cuts: Tracking path to 53 players to start 2026

With the 2026 NFL preseason behind us, the Atlanta Falcons have until Sunday at 6 p.m. ET to trim their roster down from 90 to 53 players. The Falcons, like most NFL teams, have some tough decisions to make, and their lack of overall depth makes these final cuts especially difficult.

Atlanta has seen a handful of undrafted free agents shine in training camp and the preseason. Quarterback Jack Strand, defensive tackle Carlos Allen and cornerback Malcolm DeWalt IV are among those in the mix for roster spots.

The Falcons closed out the preseason with a 17-12 win over the Miami Dolphins, and now the clock is ticking on head coach Kevin Stefanski to carve out his first 53-man roster in Atlanta. Follow each cut as the Falcons trim their way down to 53 players ahead of Sunday's roster deadline.
