Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has a film crew following him as there is a documentary about the Germany international in motion:
A documentary about Jamal Musiala is currently in the works. The player has already been followed by a camera off the pitch for several months for the film. Interview segments with him are also filmed regularly for the project. The filming is expected to continue over the coming weeks.
The timing of the documentary is certainly odd and somewhat unfortunate for Musiala. In the midst of dealing with an injury over the summer, a subpar performance at the World Cup, and now, with his neurological absences, the subject of the film will probably delve into those rather than the player, his life off the pitch, etc.
That is life in the middle of a documentary, though. Sometimes, you have to just roll with the punches as they happen. For Musiala, this could at least be framed as a redemption story as he looks to bounce-back from all of those things. Wouldn’t that be a good story to watch?

Karetsas making waves for BVB (Opta Franz)Konstantinos Karetsas has been a menace for Borussia Dortmund so far:
9 – Dortmunds Konstantinos Karetsas war gegen den HSV an 9 Torschüssen direkt beteiligt (6S, 3SV), neuer Rekord eines BVB-Spielers beim Bundesliga-Debüt. Ausrufezeichen. #BVBHSVpic.twitter.com/xtHDJoX3Q9
— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) August 29, 20269 – Dortmund’s Konstantinos Karetsas was directly involved in 9 shots on goal against HSV (6S, 3SV), a new record for a BVB player on Bundesliga debut. Exclamation mark. #BVBHSV
The news was not so good for Karetsas’ countryman Giannis Konstantelias, who will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL (via Borussia Dortmund):
Some difficult news to finish out the week.
Giannis Konstantelias has suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee and will be sidelined for several months.
The 23-year-old was forced off in the 52nd minute of his Bundesliga debut against Hamburg after going down following a tackle in midfield. Earlier in the match, Giannis scored his first goal for BVB in first-half stoppage time.
We’re with you every step of the way, Giannis. Stay strong, we can’t wait to see you back on the pitch! 🖤💛
The Greek duo has been very impressive so far, hopefully Konstantelias has a strong recovery.
Leweling on the move? (Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger)VfB Stuttgart attacker Jamie Leweling is rumored to be on the market and AS Roma made a decent play for him on Sunday:
🚨🟡🔴 AS Roma wants to sign Jamie Leweling (25/🇩🇪) and is trying for a loan with an obligation to buy. The offer was for over €40m in the total package, including a €5m loan fee. Stuttgart has rejected it, though! ❌🇮🇹 w/ @_dennisbayer @DiMarzio.
Roma offers a lucrative five-year contract. Other top clubs are also in the mix, including Liverpool and Everton. Inter had also made an effort recently.
Leweling, one to watch until #DeadlineDay …@SkySportDE
Later, we would learn from Sky Germany that VfB Stuttgart rejected AS Roma’s offer:
Jamie Leweling will stay with VfB Stuttgart for the time being. The Swabians have rejected an offer from AS Roma for more than 40 million euros for the German international. ❌
ℹ️ According to information from Sky Sport, AS Roma is offering a total package of more than 40 million euros. The offer includes a loan with a subsequent mandatory purchase. The loan fee alone is said to be around five million euros. Sky Italia was the first to report on the interest.
However, this model is not an option for the Stuttgart side at the moment. ❌ VfB is still reliant on transfer revenue, but in the event of a sale, they prefer a different structure.
ℹ️ In addition to AS Roma, other clubs are interested in Leweling, according to Sky Sport information. In particular, clubs from the Premier League are closely monitoring the situation. Inter Milan had also recently made concrete efforts to sign the 24-year-old.
Via @p_mountainer & @dennis.bayer_
Leweling played 28 minutes against Bayern Munich on Friday. A move would be a little surprising as Leweling did not boost hos value during the World Cup and could actually be worth a little less right now than he will be in six months. It feels like Leweling will not leave Stuttgart just yet, but VfB Stuttgart does have a variety of attackers on its roster these days.
If VfB Stuttgart was willing to sell Leweling, it might tell us more about Leweling than Stuttgart, though.
Harder to Strasbourg? (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)RB Leipzig striker Conrad Harder could be on his way to Strasbourg:
🚨💥 Conrad Harder to RC Strasbourg – DONE DEAL ✔️
Verbal agreement has now been reached with RB Leipzig for the 21 y/o striker.
One final point is still being clarified: whether the loan deal will include a purchase option or be a straight loan. Final details and paperwork to follow.
Deal pending medical and hijacks.

Alvarez rejoins Atlético Madrid after hiatus (Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano)After a few days of dealing with some personal issues, Julián Alvarez returned to train with his teammates at Atlético Madrid:
🔴⚪️🕷️ Julián Álvarez has returned to team training with Atlético Madrid squad today. pic.twitter.com/OAyZLUObUj
— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 30, 2026There is still a lot of talk of a transfer, though, and Manchester City could be involved: (via ESPN):
Manchester City have entered the race to sign Julián Álvarez in the final few days of the transfer market, according to Marca. It’s claimed that Enzo Maresca’s side are keen on a potential return for the forward, who is still facing an uncertain future at Atlético Madrid, following a public standoff over his place in the team. Barcelona have been pushing for a move to sign the Argentina international, while he has also been public about his desire to join the LaLiga champions. However, Atlético have been just as public about their desire not to sanction a move to Camp Nou. That has led to links over a switch to Arsenal, but now it seems as though City are keen on bringing him back, following the exits of Omar Marmoush and Sávio. Álvarez, 26, made 103 appearances for Man City in his previous spell, scoring 36 goals and assisting 19. He was part of the team that won the treble of UEFA Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup titles in 2022-23.
