Charlie Woods, the son of renowned golfer Tiger Woods and a committed member of the Florida State men’s golf team, has officially signed a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with TaylorMade. This partnership marks a significant step in Woods' burgeoning golf career as he joins the ranks of amateur golfers associated with the well-known brand.
Currently a senior at The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida, Woods is preparing for his final high school golf season. He recently showcased his talent by winning the 2025 AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational and is competing this week at the Junior Players Championship held at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Notably, Woods utilizes TaylorMade clubs, highlighting his connection with the brand even before the formal agreement.
Woods is not alone in this venture, as he joins fellow Florida State recruit Miles Russell and Miami golf signee Kai Trump on TaylorMade’s roster of young athletes. The brand has a longstanding relationship with Charlie's father, Tiger Woods, who transitioned from a partnership with Nike to TaylorMade in recent years.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new partnership, Charlie Woods stated, “Having TaylorMade in my corner has been great. They’ve supported me a lot over the last year, and I’m really excited to officially be part of Team TaylorMade. So many great players have been a part of this team, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.” This sentiment reflects the growing trend of young athletes leveraging NIL opportunities to enhance their careers.
Charlie Woods committed to Florida State in February 2026, a decision that has generated considerable excitement for the Seminoles’ golf program. He has also signed with Players Group Management for his NIL representation, a different agency than his father's, who is represented by Excel Sports Management.
As Woods prepares for his freshman year at Florida State in the 2027-28 season, his recent performances have been impressive. He finished in the Top 10 at the 2025 Boys Junior PGA Championship and secured a Top 20 finish at the 2025 Rolex Tournament of Champions. Additionally, he placed T19 at the Junior Orange Bowl International Championship in January 2026.
TaylorMade's CEO and President, David Abeles, praised Woods, stating, “We build our roster of athletes around those who are driven by the game of golf and have an unmatched desire to compete at the highest level. Charlie epitomizes that every time he tees it up. The growth of his game over the last few years speaks for itself, and we are humbled he chose TaylorMade to support him as he competes at the junior level and during his transition to collegiate golf.”
Woods kicked off the Junior Players Championship on Friday at TPC Sawgrass, finishing the first round with a score of 1-under 71, placing him tied for eighth as he heads into the second round. This performance underlines his potential as he continues to make strides in the competitive world of junior golf.
