Clay Travis, a prominent figure in sports media, has officially launched his new venture, Sport & State, which encompasses a blend of sports, culture, and politics. This initiative aims to provide a platform that not only discusses sports but also explores the intersections of these various fields.

In a recent announcement, iHeartMedia revealed that it is enhancing its partnership with Travis by establishing a new podcast network associated with Sport & State. This network is expected to feature live digital shows that will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. However, the specifics regarding the launch date and the programming lineup for the podcast network have yet to be disclosed.

As part of this expanded collaboration, iHeartMedia will also oversee advertising sales for Sport & State’s digital and web content. This renewed agreement signifies that Travis will continue to co-host the nationally syndicated The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, which is broadcast across 550 stations in the United States and serves as a key component of The Clay & Buck Podcast Network.

Rich Bressler, President and Chief Operating Officer of iHeartMedia, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Clay Travis has built one of the most influential brands in news, talk, and sports across every platform, and we’re excited to continue and expand our partnership with him." Bressler emphasized the success of The Clay & Buck Show and the anticipated growth of the new podcast network, highlighting their shared commitment to delivering engaging content to audiences.

The Sport & State Podcast Network will feature a variety of shows that air on weekdays, including Hutton & Withrow, The Next Round, The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, The Clay Travis Show, and On Tilt. This diverse lineup reflects Travis's vision for Sport & State, which he describes as being composed of approximately 70% sports content, 15% pop culture, and 15% political discussions related to sports. He noted that while he will contribute most of the political content, the other shows are not primarily focused on politics.

In addition to the existing shows, recent developments include the announcement that the Bet The Board podcast, hosted by Todd Fuhrman and Payne Insider, will be joining the Sport & State network. Furthermore, Karen Crouse, a veteran sports media writer formerly with The New York Times, has also joined the outlet, bringing her extensive experience to the team.

As the landscape of sports media continues to evolve, Travis's partnership with iHeartMedia and the launch of the Sport & State Podcast Network represents a significant step in his efforts to create a multifaceted platform that engages listeners across various interests. With a commitment to quality content and a diverse programming slate, the network aims to attract a broad audience and establish itself as a key player in the podcasting arena.
