Cowboys trade OT Nate Thomas to Texans

Nate Thomas began training camp competing with Tyler Guyton for the starting left tackle job in Dallas. He ends it headed to Houston.

The Texans agreed to a trade for Thomas, a seventh-round pick of the Cowboys in 2024, in return for a 2027 seventh-round pick.

Thomas could not even win the Cowboys' swing tackle job as Dallas traded with the Steelers for offensive tackle Broderick Jones on Saturday. Jones' arrival made Thomas expendable.

Thomas played all 17 games last season, starting four.

The Texans, meanwhile, continue to tinker with their offensive line, which has been one of the league's worst in recent seasons.
