UFC President Dana White has been a significant figure in Bella Mir's career development, taking a keen interest in her journey as a fighter. The daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, Bella is set to showcase her skills in the upcoming Week 3 of Dana White’s Contender Series 2026, where she will compete for a coveted UFC contract.

Bella Mir, who boasts an undefeated record of 4-0, will headline the card on August 25 against Alex Apodaca, a fellow bantamweight with a record of 3-1. White has expressed his enthusiasm for Bella’s potential, noting that he has been closely following her career for the past four years. During a recent press conference after the DWCS 2026 Week 1 event, he stated, “Yeah, I’m very excited about Bella. I’ve been very involved in her life the last four years.”

In addition to her immediate goal of securing a UFC contract, Bella Mir has ambitious plans for her future. She has publicly stated her desire to become the first UFC fighter to compete in the Olympics, aiming to participate in the 2028 Games while also pursuing championships in various combat sports, including Brazilian jiu-jitsu and boxing. White confirmed that these aspirations have been a topic of discussion between them, saying, “Yeah, we’ve talked about it. I mean, she presented that to me.”

White has played a pivotal role in guiding Bella's career, advising her to pursue a college education before turning professional. This decision has proven beneficial, as it allowed her to hone her wrestling skills and break records in college competitions. “That was the goal, too, in college,” White explained. “Not just for her to get an education but to break some college records. She would enter these jiu-jitsu competitions and win them. You know, while she was only wrestling, not even doing jiu-jitsu. So, she’s special.”

Bella Mir's journey is particularly noteworthy as she follows in her father's footsteps while carving out her own identity in the sport. Frank Mir, a well-respected figure in mixed martial arts, has undoubtedly influenced her career, but Bella is determined to establish her legacy. With her sights set on multiple disciplines, she represents a new generation of fighters who are looking to excel across various platforms.

The upcoming bout against Apodaca will be crucial for Bella Mir, not only as a potential entry point into the UFC but also as a stepping stone toward her broader ambitions in combat sports. As the fight approaches, the MMA community is watching closely to see how she performs under the pressure of such high stakes.
