Detroit Lions Make Roster Changes by Waiving Two Players

With Small's departure, the Lions now have Jahmyr Gibbs, Jacob Saylors, and Sione Vaki as their active running backs, while Isiah Pacheco remains on injured reserve due to a back injury. This situation makes Small's release particularly intriguing, given the current state of Detroit's backfield.

McLaughlin's exit also reduces the depth of the offensive line, leaving starting center Juice Scruggs as the primary option. The Lions now have two open roster spots, suggesting that general manager Brad Holmes may not be done making adjustments to the team.
