The Miami Dolphins have had a busy weekend, moving on from several players, as they work to get to 53 players from the 91 that they've had throughout training camp and the preseason.
On Sunday morning, the Dolphins released running back Carlos Washington Jr. and wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr.
Washington, 27, played collegiately at New Hampshire and Southeastern Louisiana before spending three years with the Atlanta Falcons. Miami signed him in May, and in three preseason games, he rushed for 41 yards on just 2.3 yards per attempt.
Marshall, 26, won a national championship during his three-year career at LSU before the Carolina Panthers took him in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. After stints with the Panthers, San Francisco 49ers, Las Vegas Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles, he signed a reserve/futures contract with the Dolphins. In three preseason games, he caught three passes for 58 yards.
