Nicholas Galanti needed just 35 seconds to make his statement for a UFC contract on Tuesday at Dana White's Contender Series 89.
After having his first takedown attempt stuffed by Carlos Petruzzella (15-2) in their middleweight bout, which opened the card at Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Galanti (8-1) broke off the clinch and landed a massive right hand that completely floored his opponent.
Galanti jumped on his downed foe with a number of extra shots to put him out cold in well under one minute.

After the highlight finish, an elated Galanti, 28, spoke about what securing a UFC deal would mean to his future.
"It would be awesome (to get signed)," Galanti said in his post-fight interview with Laura Sanko. "We're headed in the right direction."
