PHILADELPHIA − The Eagles' final preseason game isn't just a final chance for those hoping to make the 53-man roster.
For Eagles rookie wide receiver Makai Lemon, it could also be a chance to − finally − play in an NFL game when the Eagles face the Cincinnati Bengals on Aug. 28.

That's because Lemon, the Eagles' first-round pick, missed three weeks of training camp with a hamstring injury, only returning as a full participant in practice this week.
And by playing, Lemon's debut would mirror the training camp schedule of defensive back Cooper DeJean when he was a rookie in 2024.
DeJean missed the first three weeks of camp with a hamstring injury, including the first two preseason games. He played in the preseason finale, helping him get ready for the regular season.
"Every time there's a game, I definitely want to play," Lemon said on Aug. 24. "I'm just taking it day by day out here, just putting the work in, and then we'll see how I feel Friday."
