Derby County boss John Eustace has called for the club to bring in “three or four” new players before the transfer window closes after their 3-0 defeat to Swansea City.
The Rams were comfortably beaten at the Swansea.com Stadium, leaving Eustace keen to see further additions made to strengthen his squad before the deadline.
“It’s very evident we need to bring three or four players in to help the group, from now until the end of the window, so I’m hoping they will,” Eustace said.
One player who appears close to joining Derby is Pisa striker Henrik Meister, with Eustace revealing the 22-year-old was already at the club on Friday.
“He was in the building yesterday, we’ve seen him, so I assume that’ll be done by the end of the weekend,” Eustace said.
“He’ll bring a pace and power and some goals.
“The club have worked hard to highlight him and hopefully he can come in and hit the ground running.
“I think he can play across the front three positions, so I’m sure he’ll fit in very well, we’re looking forward to seeing him perform.”
Derby were also dealt an injury blow ahead of the defeat, with Carlton Morris set to miss the next few weeks with a calf problem.
“He’s out with a calf problem which will probably be a couple of weeks,” Eustace said.
