Like many of her colleagues in the WNBA, Angel McCoughtry has had enough of Enes Kanter Freedom.

Kanter Freedom has spent August of 2026 attempting to destabilize the WNBA by declaring for its 2027 draft and claiming that he identifies as a woman strictly to play basketball following an 11-year career in the NBA.

After Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink called Kanter Freedom a "stupid piece of s---," former scoring champion McCoughtry spoke out amid Kanter Freedom's ejection from an Indiana Fever-Chicago Sky game on Sunday.

"There's no transgender in the WNBA," McCoughtry told TMZ. "So y'all are going on a frenzy about what? What is the obsession with this? Why can't we play and have fun?"

McCoughtry, a six-time All-WNBA selection who spent most of her career with the Atlanta Dream, believes Kanter Freedom's ban should be extended to every arena around the league.

"You should be banned," McCoughtry said. What, are you about to come to L.A. next and do it or go to New York next and do it? We're not tolerating that kind of behavior. Leave us alone."

Kanter Freedom has been banned indefinitely from Chicago's Wintrust Arena, and he has even threatened to sue the Sky -- a stance that seems incongruous with his proclamation earlier this month that he wanted to "protect women's sports."

"It's disrespectful. You've never seen a woman go to an NBA game and throw vagina toys," McCoughtry said in light of another recent incident. "Men have to stop being obsessed with women. Anything women do, it's always gotta be a man. Give us the respect we be giving y'all."
