PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Since 2022, the West Linn Lions have been a fixture in the state semifinals, building a powerhouse program under coaching legend Jon Eagle. But after Eagle hung up his clipboard this offseason, a new era has arrived at the Lions’ Den.
Now, first-year head coach Anthony Newman is taking the reins. A 12-year NFL veteran, Newman brings a wealth of experience and a new vision as he looks to put his own stamp on one of Oregon’s premier football programs. Newman sat down with Sports Anchor Tyree Smith to preview his first season at the helm.
