Justin Tucker, once a celebrated kicker for the Baltimore Ravens, has reportedly participated in a workout for the New York Jets on Wednesday. This session included other kickers, such as Michael Badgley and Josh Karty, as the Jets look to solidify their kicking situation following recent struggles.
The Jets are currently in need of a reliable kicker after Jason Sanders missed an extra point and failed to convert a 54-yard field goal during a preseason game against the Giants. Following this disappointing performance, the Jets waived Sanders and subsequently claimed Blake Grupe off waivers, while Sanders returned to the practice squad.
Justin Tucker, an eight-time Pro Bowler and five-time first-team All-Pro during his 13 seasons with the Ravens, was released by the team in 2025 after serious allegations surfaced. Sixteen women accused him of sexual misconduct, claiming he engaged in inappropriate behavior during massage therapy sessions. Tucker has denied these allegations and was not criminally charged.
Shortly after his release, the NFL suspended Tucker for ten games due to violations of the league's personal conduct policy. Since then, he has not participated in any NFL games, creating uncertainty about his future in the league.
Earlier this summer, Tucker also worked out with the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts, but he did not secure a position on either roster. With the Jets still facing uncertainty in their kicking game, they are giving Tucker another opportunity to prove himself.
