Florida State football's rivalry with Miami is getting a makeover as the schools announced a partnership with Progressive Insurance to be the presenting sponsor of the game.
As part of the sponsorship, Progressive's logo will be featured on the 25-yard line of Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium for every home game. The news was announced in a press release by the university on Aug. 27, two days before the Seminoles' season opener against New Mexico State.
“Progressive’s commitment to Florida State Athletics and its presence on the field throughout the season reflects the strength and reach of this partnership.” Said Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford in a press release. “The Florida State–Miami rivalry is one of the most storied and passionate matchups in college football, and we’re excited to work with Progressive to elevate the experience surrounding this game while engaging Seminole fans all season long.”
The deal was facilitated by Legends Global, and alongside the on-field logo, in-stadium signage and other activations will be presented for home games. That is expected to start when the Seminoles take the field against the Aggies on Saturday.
