EAST RUTHERFORD - It’s the relative calm before the storm at MetLife Stadium.
The New York Giants wrap up the preseason against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium Friday night. Less than 48 hours later, the Giants will have to reduce the roster to 53 players prior to the league's 6 p.m. deadline.
Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is not expected to play against the Jets, which means his next game action will be in prime time on opening night against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Sept. 13. While some starters will likely play, Giants coach John Harbaugh opened up about the fine line teams must walk when deciding who plays and who sits with the regular season on the horizon.
"There's risk. It's just a balancing act of what we gain the most from with the least amount of risk," Harbaugh said. "That's what we've got to figure out."
