Good Good CEO bashes Callaway Golf after ending partnership

Good Good Golf faces a major scandal in the world of YouTube golf, but it’s evident that the brand isn’t fully willing to accept blame for its failed advertisement after coming after Callaway Golf.

The well-known golf company, which works with PGA Tour pros like Xander Schauffele, ended its relationship with Good Good this week. This comes after the social media golfers released an ad showing founder Garrett Clark shoving a woman to the ground.

Clark has since issued an apology, but that hasn’t ended the drama. Now, Good Good CEO Matt Kendrick is weighing in on the situation.

However, his statement doesn’t seem to accept accountability for the situation after he came after Callaway. Kendrick even says he’s “not opposed” to the idea of suing Callaway in the future based on his comments.

Callaway, as well as several other notable companies, distanced themselves from Good Good this week in light of the evolving situation. The company even donated $1 million to causes supporting women that face domestic abuse.

However, Kendrick isn’t going down easily after taking shots at Callaway for its handling of the viral ad disaster.

The Good Good CEO alleges that Callaway approved the advertisement before backtracking. Meanwhile, Kendrick also believes that the popular golf club manufacturer created a “coordinated media blitz” to paint Good Good in a poor light.

“Interesting that @CallawayGolf asks us to make an ad then approves it then asks us to take the fall then drops us in a coordinated media blitz and covers it up by giving a million dollars away thinking everyone will be ok with it. 30 for 39 will be legendary,” Kendrick’s X post reads.

It’s unclear what comes next for the YouTube golf channel with over 2 million followers. Although, it will likely continue to get worse before it gets better after Good Good dropped its sponsorship rights for an upcoming PGA Tour event in November.
