Harry Kane and Bayern Munich seem to moving closer to an agreement over the Englishman’s future. Although the star striker has recently said that he is willing to take things slowly regarding his contract situation (current deal ends after the present season, in the summer of 2027), Kane had hinted that he would like to start discussing his future soon.
Well, after Bayern’s board member for sport Max Eberl recently confirmed the negotiations had officially started, Kane confirmed the news that will surely make Bayern fans’ happy in an interview for Abendzeitung journalist Patrick Strasser (as reported by @iMiaSanMia).
“The talks started last week – so far, so good. But this isn’t something that can be done in a week or two. It’s about the details. I’m 33, so this will probably be my last contract – well, big contract. It’s looking pretty good,” said Kane.
Fans can only wait for the eventual official confirmation, but Kane seems set to stay in Munich and help the Bavarians in their quest for the coveted Champions League trophy. Given the striker’s current form, one can only hope for a successful campaign for both the player and the team as a whole.
