Mike Perry returned to action versus Brandon Jenkins earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 29, 2026) at the inaugural Duel Arena 1 event from inside the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. In a shocking turn of events, Perry suffered his first MMA loss in many years.
Jenkins, for those don’t know, was filling in on roughly 48 hours for the woefully unreliable Dillon Danis. Strangely, Danis’ withdraw cost Perry thousands and thousands of dollars from his own purse. Jenkins is an ex-UFC fighter as well as a veteran of various combat sports promotions like Karate Combat and PFL, but “The Human Highlight Reel” was a massive underdog.
Despite the betting odds, Jenkins was the larger man and started off well, timing Perry with accurate shots. Before too long, however, Perry was starting to find his own range, landing some solid shots in the clinch. Suddenly, Perry seemingly dislocated his shoulder while pulling away from an exchange. “Platinum” tried to hang tough and return fire, but he was clearly compromised.
Jenkins turned up the heat and ripped a body kick, sending the wounded Perry to the canvas for good.

— Jed I. Goodman © (@jedigoodman) August 30, 2026Well … this is unfortunate for everybody except Brandon Jenkins, who capitalized on an unexpected opportunity to score the biggest scalp of his career. Perry, conversely, lost out on a ton of money, suffered a nasty injury, and wound up finished in the cage for the first time since 2019. That’s a miserable night at the office, and one has to wonder how Perry tries to rebound once healthy.
Perhaps it’s time to return to BKFC?
