The San Francisco Giants continue this four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight from Oracle Park.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Blade Tidwell, who enters tonight’s game with a 3.58 ERA, 3.51 FIP, with 27 strikeouts to 12 walks in 32.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Giants’ 3-2 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, in which he allowed just three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in five and two thirds innings.
He’ll be facing off against Diamondbacks left-handed rookie Kohl Drake, who enters tonight’s game with a 5.40 ERA, 5.48 FIP, with 13 strikeouts to six walks in 16.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Diamondbacks’ 5-1 loss to the San Diego Padres on August 6th, in which he allowed three runs on six hits with one strikeout and one walk in three and two thirds innings.
