Juventus Women’s First Team successfully secured their place in the League Phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Women’s Champions League after a 1-1 draw against St. Polten on Wednesday evening. This result concluded the two-legged tie with a convincing 4-1 aggregate victory for the Bianconere.
The match took place in Biella, where Tatiana Pinto opened the scoring for Juventus, putting them in a dominant position early on. Despite Alma Aagaard's equalizer for St. Polten, it ultimately served as a mere consolation, as the Bianconere had already ensured their advancement.
From the outset, Juventus displayed their characteristic dominance under head coach Isaac Guerrero, controlling possession and creating opportunities. Alba Redondo was the first to threaten the St. Polten goal, forcing a crucial save from goalkeeper Carina Schluter just two minutes into the match.
Throughout the first half, Juventus continued to apply pressure, with Lea Khelifi, Redondo, and Pinto all seeking to extend their aggregate lead. However, it was Pinto who eventually broke the deadlock, receiving a well-placed assist from Remina Chiba and scoring just five minutes before the halftime whistle.
Despite a few missed chances to increase their lead, including opportunities for Khelifi and Redondo, Juventus remained in control. St. Polten managed to level the score on the night when Aagaard capitalized on an error from Martina Rosucci, skillfully chipping the ball over goalkeeper Danielle de Jong.
After conceding, St. Polten appeared revitalized, threatening to take the lead. However, Juventus’s defense held strong, with de Jong making a crucial save to deny a shot from Lisa Ebert, while Diana Lemesova's attempt struck the woodwork.
As the second half progressed, Juventus regained their composure and began to mount their own attacks again. Substitute Matilde Pavan came close to scoring, but Schluter was on hand to thwart her efforts on two occasions. The match concluded with a 1-1 draw, which was sufficient for Juventus to progress to the League Phase of the Women’s Champions League.
The draw for the next stage of the competition is scheduled for Friday, where Juventus will learn their opponents as they aim to continue their strong performance in this prestigious tournament.
