Kingsley Enagbare stole the show at Jets' training camp practice

Training camp is almost over for the New York Jets. These last few practice sessions are notable as the Jets begin preparations for their Week 1 game versus the Tennessee Titans. At Tuesday's practice, it was veteran defensive end Kingsley Enagbare who stole the show.

Enagbare registered two sacks and a tackle for loss at practice, according to various reporters in attendance. The Jets have been treating Enagbare like a potential starter by managing his workload throughout the preseason. On Tuesday, he showcased why that's been the case.

General manager Darren Mougey signed Enagbare to a one-year contract worth $9 million in free agency earlier this offseason. His addition was intended to add depth, veteran experience, and competition to a revamped defensive end room. That's precisely what Enagbare has done throughout training camp.

The Jets are fairly young and inexperienced at EDGE, with Will McDonald IV and David Bailey still growing and developing. That's why veteran free-agent additions Enagbare and Joseph Ossai should add something valuable to Aaron Glenn's defense this season. Look no further than what Enagbare produced at Tuesday's practice.

Enagbare will play a valuable early-down role for the Jets in 2026. He's still scratching the surface of his potential.
