KV Mechelen have announced the signing of Simion Michez from Slavia Prague. The 24-year-old winger from Cameroon returns to Belgian football, having left Beerschot in 2024 to join Slavia Prague. However, Michez was never really able to make a success of it in Prague and now joins a KV Mechelen side that are certainly in need of new players, having started the Belgian Pro League seasons poorly.
Michez came through the Anderlecht academy but never made a first team appearance. In 2023 he left the side to join Beerschot, where he spent just a single season. In 37 games for Beerschot he scored eight goals and provided four assists. His form in the second tier of Belgian football attracted the interest of Slavia Prague, who signed him during the 2024/2025 season. Michez went on to play 17 games for Slavia Prague that season, scoring once. The following season he was loaned by Slavia Prague to Sigma Olomouc, where he played 15 games.
On his departure from Slavia Prague, Michez has signed a contract with KV Mechelen that will run until 2029.
