Milan and Como discussing final details of transfer for Italy international Ricci

Samuele Ricci is on the verge of joining Como from Milan as the two clubs are now discussing the final details of a transfer for the Italy international midfielder according to the latest updates on Thursday morning.

Milan and Torino close to completing Ricci deal

Milan and Como have an agreement in place over the structure of a deal for Ricci, who is set to join Cesc Fabregas’s side on an initial season-long loan deal with an option to buy. Como are expected to pay the player’s salary in full for the duration of his loan spell according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

An exact transfer fee has not been disclosed, although esports from Matteo Moretto indicate that the clubs are discussing a total package in the region of €22m between the cost of the loan deal and the option to buy.

Ricci had joined Milan from Torino in a deal reported to be worth €23m plus add-ons during the previous summer transfer window in 2025.

The 25-year-old was an ever-present in the Milan matchday squad last season, appearing in the squad for all 38 Serie A matches last season, but he was limited to just 11 appearances in the starting XI due to stiff competition from the likes of Luka Modric, Adrien Rabiot, Youssouf Fofana and Ardon Jashari.

Como, meanwhile, still have plenty of business to do before the close of the summer transfer window on September 1, including a potential deal with Fiorentina for Moise Kean and the sale of Alvaro Morata.
