OGC Nice are monitoring Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Niels Nkounkou (25), as they expect to part ways with in-demand full-back Melvin Bard, according to L’Equipe. The 25-year-old Lyon Academy graduate is set to leave Les Aiglons. The INEOS-owned Ligue 1 club is set to receive several enquiries from foreign clubs for Bard, who is under contract until 2028, from now until the end of the summer transfer window.
Nkounkou has been frozen out at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he has been ordered to train away from the first team. The former Everton full-back is contracted with Die Adler until 2028. Nkounkou is reportedly a close friend to Elye Wahi, who joined OGC Nice on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt. The former Saint-Etienne left-back could follow suit. OGC Nice play Paris FC away on Sunday.
