Unfortunately, he did not appear for his tee time on Friday, leading to his disqualification from the tournament. Only the top 19 players and ties would advance to the next stage, and Uihlein's absence effectively ended his hopes of qualifying.
As LIV Golf navigates its future, the organization is exploring options for a new format dubbed "LIV 2.0," which aims to be a more streamlined version of the tour that was previously funded by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Recently, LIV Golf has been sending settlement offers to players who are owed significant amounts of money beyond the 2026 season, but these offers have reportedly been at a fraction of the owed amounts.

He acknowledged that he was ready for a new direction in his career, stating, "In reality, I wish I played better. I’m not denying that."
