Gage Burdette and Javontae Wynes both scored three touchdowns and Woodrow Wilson went on the road for a 55-26 win over Washington Friday night.
Burdette ran for 76 yards and a touchdown and also returned two kickoffs for TDs. Meanwhile, Wynes ran five times for 68 yards and two scores and had a 46-yard touchdown reception.
Matt Taylor also ran for a TD.
Quarterback Gage Price threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Maddox Morris.
Woodrow will travel to rival Greenbrier East next Friday.
James Monroe 19, Greenbrier East 13, OT
Brycen Parker’s 2-yard touchdown run gave James Monroe a 19-13 overtime win over Greenbrier East in Lindside.
The Mavericks led 13-0 on a 2-yard run by Jaden Miller and a 30-yard TD pass from Bentley McCroskey. The Spartans got back in it with a 26-yard TD from Sam Gabbert to Braylen Godfrey and a 29-yard run by Austin Whitt to tie it.
James Monroe will host Sherman next Friday.
