PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) -- What a start to the new season for Jackson Orris.
The senior scored three goals to lead Dunlap to a 3-0 win over host Normal Community is the season opener for both teams on Tuesday. Orris, who scored a school record 33 goals last fall, scored once in the first half and twice in after halftime to complete his hat trick.
Elsewhere, Denis Owen scored in the 61st minute to lift U-High to a 1-0 win at Rochester in a season opening soccer match-up in the Central State 8 Conference.
Volleyball winners included Metamora, Morton, Illini Bluffs and Tremont.
