It turns out the Los Angeles Ramscan have too many tight ends on their roster. L.A. reportedly traded 2025 undrafted free agent tight end Mark Redman to the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Terms of the deal were not immediately reported.
Redman, 24, was on the Rams' practice squad in 2025 after playing at Louisville in 2024. He caught three passes for 63 yards during the 2026 preseason for L.A.
It would have been tough for Redman to make the Rams' 53-man roster anyway, given the team's crowded tight end room. Not only did the Rams use a second-round pick on Max Klare in 2026, but they used a second-round pick in 2025 on Terrence Ferguson and already had Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen under contract. All five tight ends are expected to make the team after the quartet from 2025 played a key role in L.A.'s move into more multi-tight-end offensive packages.
Redman, meanwhile, gets a new home in Green Bay and will likely play behind Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave.
