One of the greatest players in Rutgers football history is now helping future generations of Scarlet Knights.
Adam Korsak, a Ray Guy Award-winning punter who holds the NCAA record for career punts (349) and career punting yards (15,318), joined head coach Greg Schiano’s staff as a Quality Control/Player Development assistant during the tail end of the 2025 season, according to an employment contract obtained by NJ.com via an open public records request.

The hire — which became official on November 1, 2025 — has not been previously reported. Korsak’s addition was never announced by the program and his name is not currently listed on the football program’s staff directory.
The Australian, who starred at Rutgers for five seasons between 2018 and 2022, is signed through the 2027 season. He is set to make $120,000 during the 2026 season and $130,000 during the 2027 season.
In his first five months on the job, Korsak received two retention bonuses totaling $45,000 ($25,000 on December 1, $20,000 on March 15). He was also entitled to up to $9,166.67 in relocation reimbursement, per his contract.

Korsak, who works with a punter room led by returning starter Jakob Anderson, played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He was around his alma mater often in that time, attending away games at Iowa, Penn State and Maryland, as well as practices in Piscataway.
He became a more frequent fixture in the 2025 season, which started shortly after he retired from the CFL. He then officially joined the staff in early November after signing a contract last Halloween and will now look to help the Scarlet Knights return to a bowl game this fall.
