MOBILE, Ala. — LeFlore High School Rattlers' senior wide receiver Ryion Austin has been honored as the Zaxby’s Player of the Week for Week 2 of the 2026 high school football season. His remarkable performance in a recent game has not only earned him this accolade but also played a pivotal role in his team's success.
In a closely contested match against the Davidson Warriors, Austin showcased his exceptional skills by catching eight passes for an impressive 203 yards and scoring two touchdowns. His contributions were crucial, particularly in the final moments of the game, where he caught a late touchdown pass that narrowed the score to 27-26 in favor of the Warriors. Following this, Austin made a critical two-point conversion catch from quarterback Joseph Robinson, which ultimately secured a thrilling victory for the Rattlers.
