The São Paulo Tricolor squad held a training session on Wednesday, November 3, as they prepare for a crucial encounter against Atlético-MG this Saturday, November 5, at 6:30 p.m. The match is part of the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship, a tournament that has seen intense competition this season.

During the morning session at SuperCT, the team received two notable updates regarding player health. Forward Victor Sá, who has been sidelined due to a traumatic sprain in his right ankle, participated fully in training with his teammates. Meanwhile, defensive midfielder Newton, who has been dealing with edema in his left adductor, managed to join the group for part of the session before continuing with specialized work alongside the fitness staff.

The training began with exercises focused on motor control, followed by possession drills and speed work, designed to enhance the players' agility and ball handling. Head coach Dorival Júnior, along with his assistants, organized three-versus-two matchups to promote competitive play and tactical awareness among the squad.

To further develop their skills, the players were divided into three teams. While two teams engaged in a match, the third focused on defending set pieces on an adjacent field. This structure allowed for a comprehensive training experience, with an emphasis on both offensive and defensive strategies. Additionally, the squad participated in finishing drills to sharpen their goal-scoring abilities.

In terms of player recovery, defensive midfielder Bobadilla, who has been experiencing pain in his right knee, began transitioning back into full training with the fitness team. Meanwhile, Lucas, who underwent surgery on his Achilles tendon, and Lucca, recovering from a jaw fracture, continued their individualized training regimens on the pitch.

As the Tricolor looks to solidify their position in the Brazilian Championship, they will conclude their preparations for the match against Atlético-MG with a final training session on Friday afternoon, November 4. The upcoming match is crucial for both teams as they vie for important points in the league.
