Saquon Barkley, the talented running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, has revealed his aspirations for a career in television once he hangs up his cleats. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Barkley expressed his enthusiasm for the prospect of being in front of the camera, stating, "I would love to do this stuff when I’m done playing football." This sentiment comes as he prepares for his ninth season in the NFL, where he aims to contribute to his team's success.

During the interview, Barkley shared that he has become increasingly comfortable in front of the camera since entering the league in 2018. He is currently promoting a campaign with C4, a brand he enjoys collaborating with. Reflecting on his growth, he noted, "I guess you could say I’m used to it now," indicating his confidence in engaging with audiences beyond the football field.

As the NFL season approaches, Barkley is eager to return to training camp with his teammates. He highlighted the importance of teamwork and resilience in facing the challenges that come with each season. "Every season has its ups and the downs and adversity, but wherever challenges come, we’ll take it on together and most importantly, we’re trying to win that championship," he said, emphasizing his commitment to the Eagles’ goals.

In addition to his football commitments, Barkley has been enjoying his offseason by spending quality time with his family, golfing, and training. He humorously noted that his routine consists of three main activities: "I chill with my family, I golf, and I train. There’s not really much I like to do other than that." This balance of family and personal interests reflects his grounded nature amid the pressures of professional sports.

While working on his C4 campaign, Barkley mentioned that he enjoyed the creative process and the various roles he had to embody during the shoot. His growing comfort in front of the camera is evident, and he appreciates the unique approach taken by the creative team involved in the project.

In the Eagles’ locker room, Barkley also engages with his teammates about their favorite shows and movies, showcasing his interest in entertainment. He humorously added, "I’m a big critic, though. If you give me advice on a movie or on a show, and it’s bad, I will not trust your advice ever again." His favorite shows include popular titles like The Vampire Diaries and Friday Night Lights, indicating his diverse taste in entertainment.

As he gears up for the upcoming NFL season, Barkley relies on C4 for energy, particularly enjoying the C4 Performance Energy x Popsicle Grape flavor, which brings back fond memories of his childhood. The Eagles are set to kick off their season against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, September 13, and Barkley’s focus will be on contributing to the team's success while keeping an eye on his future endeavors in television.
