As part of cutting down to the team’s 53-man roster, the Seattle Seahawks are set to waive their lone sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Emmanuel Henderson Jr., according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
The Seahawks drafted the wide receiver out of Kansas with the No. 199 overall pick in this year’s draft. In the preseason, Henderson caught four of his six targets for 65 yards. Most of those yards came in Seattle’s preseason finale, including a highlight 30-yard grab from Jalen Milroe that helped Seattle get into field goal range toward the end of the Kansas City Chiefs game.

Henderson is the first reported waiver from Seattle’s 2026 draft class. If he clears waivers then he can sign to Seattle’s practice squad as soon as Monday.
Henderson faced an uphill battle to make the final roster, with the Seahawks boasting impressive depth at wideout, combined with the emergence of Montorie Foster Jr., whose own chances of making the roster may be strengthened a bit more with Henderson let go.
