According to ESPN's Anthony Slater, Curry and the Warriors will enter their upcoming contract negotiations with the focused goal of keeping Curry from ever wearing another team's uniform. Curry becomes extension-eligible on Saturday. That, dearest readers, is a calculation from the greatest player of all time to steer his legacy in a specific and concerted way.
Forget his place in the all-time conversation. Curry is, quite obviously, the greatest Warriors player ever. If (and when?) he signs his new contract with Golden State, Curry will likely only ever be remembered as a Warriors player whenever he finally hangs his sneakers up.
