Richarlison’s situation is the flip side of the deal. The 29-year-old never fully settled at Tottenham after his £60 million move from Everton in 2022, and had made his desire to leave increasingly clear — he was an unused substitute in Tottenham’s Carabao Cup win over Charlton after starting the club’s opening-day defeat to Brentford. A return to Everton gives the Brazilian a real shot at recapturing the form that made him a fan favorite during his four-year spell at Goodison Park, where he scored 53 goals in 152 appearances.
