Adam Aguirre, jr., QB, Albuquerque High
Aguirre torched Eldorado through an overtime tie on Thursday. He completed 77% of his passes, threw for 369 yards and three touchdowns. He also had the crucial 2-point conversion run in the first OT.
Darrien Williams, sr., WR/KR, Hope Christian
Williams was tremendous in the Huskies’ win over Legacy Academy. He finished with 238 receiving yards, including touchdowns of 96 and 82 yards, and returned the game’s opening kickoff 90 yards for a score.
Hershul Olloway Jr., sr., RB, St. Pius
When you rush for 200 yards and average 20 yards a carry, you’ll be on this list. That’s what the Sartans sensational back did Friday at Holtville (California). He rushed for four touchdowns as well.
Micah Takahashi, sr., QB, Rio Rancho
There are few QBs in Class 6A who are as much of a dual threat as Takahashi. Los Lunas learned this the hard way. Takahashi threw for 278 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 54 more with two scores.
Marley Muñoz, sr., QB, Carlsbad
In the Cavemen’s 35-19 win over Goddard, Muñoz had a hand on all five Carlsbad touchdowns. He threw for 104 yards and a touchdown, and he rushed for 131 yards and four scores.
Nick Miller, fresh., QB, Hope Christian
Rare that we add a ninth-grader to our weekly roster, but Miller merits the mention after his effort. He was 22-for-30 passing for 403 yards and five touchdowns, and already is showing such great promise.
Preston Muniz, sr., RB, Santa Rosa
Muniz was magnificent in the Lions’ exciting two-point win over Robertson, carrying the ball 27 times for 280 yards. He scored all four Santa Rosa touchdowns.
Deion Torres, sr., ATH, Gadsden
Torres enjoyed a huge week for the Panthers at Capital. He caught two TD passes and rushed for a third with just eight touches. He also intercepted two passes for Gadsden.
Royce Dennisson, sr., RB, Moriarty
Dennisson is one-third of a potent rushing attack for the Pintos, and he was outstanding against Pojoaque Valley. Dennisson ran for 179 yards and three TDs. He also intercepted two passes.
Eli Ritchie, sr., RB, Clayton
Ritchie is off to an amazing start this season. He rushed for 282 yards and four touchdowns in a victory over the Hagerman/Lake Arthur co-op.
